Inspiramais: Krumenauer Tannery celebrates the first month of its leather e-commerce

Buying small quantities of leather (even just one unit) over the internet is a service available to customers throughout Brazil through the Sculp Leather Store. The online store, managed by the Krumenauer Tannery, is celebrating its first 30 days of activities with great success, allowing end consumers, architects, artisans and anyone interested in leather to easily acquire bovine, sheep, calf and other leather in various finishes and colors. Sculp Leather Store by Krumenauer is one of the sponsors of Digital Inspiramais, and at the event between August 25 and 27, it will present all of its work that has supported small productions of clothing, bags, furniture, shoes and others throughout the country, delivering high quality leather with ease.

Joel Krummenauer, director of the tannery, says that the Sculp Leather Store on the internet is a project that has been maintained for four years. “Online sales are a reality and are bringing us even closer to the market. The return has been extremely positive for all audiences”, he highlights.

The company already has a physical store next to the tannery, in Portão (RS). Online purchases are delivered by courier and carrier services (depending on what the customer selects). There is also a forecast for sales abroad through the Sculp Leather Store.

Inspiramais is carried out by Centro das Indústrias de Curtume do Brasil [Brazilian Tannery Industries Center] (CICB), Associação Brasileira de Empresas de Componentes para Couro, Calçados e Artefatos [Brazilian association of leather, footwear and components companies]  (Assintecal), Associação Brasileira da Indústria Têxtil e de Confecção [Brazilian association of textile and clothing industry] (Abit), Associação Brasileira das Indústrias do Mobiliário [Brazilian association of furniture industries] (Abimóvel), Tex Brasil, By Brasil Components and Chemicals and the Brazilian Leather project, a partnership between CICB and Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos [Brazilian export and investment promotion agency] (Apex-Brasil) to encourage leather exports.


Between August 25 and 27, INSPIRAMAIS - Design and Material Innovations for Fashion Exhibit will take place.
