Components sector projects USD 2 million in business during IFLS + EICI, in Colombia
Companies in the Footwear Components sector returned from the city of Bogotá, Colombia with a positive balance. Participation at IFLS + EIC was a 3-day event - the most important business platform in Colombia and the Andean region for the footwear, leather and fabric sector, focused on fashion and innovation. The business forecast is already at USD 2 million for the next 12 months and USD 415 thousand is being traded in immediate deals.
Brazil´s presence was made through the actions of the By Brasil Components, Machinery and Chemicals project, an export incentive project carried out in partnership with Assintecal and Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos [Brazilian Exports and Investment Agency] (Apex-Brasil), which also relies on Assintecal´s partnership with Abrameq to represent machine verticals for leather and footwear.
Among the participating companies was Ecovita Quimicos & Cores. For Patrícia Lima, brand representative, participation provided contacts and new business. “I received several customers and future customers. As a business perspective, I believe it will generate many sales and future visits to Colombia, and we will be able to support Colombian companies with inputs from Brazil”.
For Maurício Garcia, from Ambiente Verde, the first experience with IFLS was enriching. According to Maurício
“we participated with the objective of approaching at least one importer/distributor, but we left with three or four good options. So, the fair was very good for us”.
Visitors were able to find Brazilian products aimed at the fashion industry. In addition to Colombian companies, participation from all of Latin America has further enhanced business among Assintecal's associated participants. Like WA Solados, which returned to IFLS + EICI after four years. “Our participation was very good. We received many people, company representatives from Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Bolivia. We have done a lot of business prospecting and I believe we will be very successful”, emphasized Daniel Simões, in charge of the foreign trade sector at WA Solados.
