Genuinely Brazilian prints
Linking the theme Syncrony with the mood of the 70s, the +Estampa Project reaches its thirteenth edition with participation from six studios. The project, which is in its thirteenth edition, is a platform for presenting surface design studio works through which illustrations, designs, patterns and prints are marketed, and not fabric printing.
“+ Estampa is an incubator, on this platform we thought about mapping surface design studios and at this time we are working between groups. In fact, the project is a set of several designers, today we have 6 and we can have up to 12. So we thought about strengthening the group's image. What sets each studio apart is the illustration, the research, the tin technique of each one. Different identities that work in the creative universe as know-how, transforming processes, we seek free spirits, of free designers”, says Lucius Vilar, curator of the project and consultant at the Inspiramais Design Center.
“We are looking for designers who want to renew themselves and are constantly changing, not to change their identity but knowing how to interpret a theme within a unique know-how. So, in this preview, we look at the seventies, the free spirit, with florals, tropical flowers and a geometry inspired by Roberto Bulermax's landscaping”, Vilar points out.
