November 07 2019
Focused on sustainability and technology, the Exhibit has lectures,
conferences and debates with renowned professionals from Brazil and abroad.

The 20th edition of Inspiramais, the only material innovation and design exhibit in Latin America, will be held in January, on the 14th and 15th, celebrating 10 years of stimulating the unification of language and methodology of building national fashion.

Currently, the Exhibit presents innovations in creation, design and technology, involving industries in the footwear, furniture, clothing, accessories and costume jewelry sectors, and encompasses the design and fashion market in Brazil, Latin America and European countries.

Sustainability is the main motto of the season, which brings Synchrony as a keyword - a theme that discusses the connectivity between the various aspects of fashion. The subject is also addressed in the diverse menu of lectures, formed by experienced industry professionals.

The grid presents issues relevant to the entire market, such as responsibility and commitment as a global trend, sustainable design and competitive differential, redemption of ancestral techniques with sustainable appeal and new materials, intangible heritage and the journey of sustainable startups, among others.

Also highlighting the debates that focus on legislation as allied to the business positioning of innovative companies, how immersive technologies impact the cost of sustainability in the textile and footwear industries and the management of scarcity with new technologies and co-creation.  In closing, there will be a conference with the American Phil Pallen, addressing business ethics in social networks.  Check out the full schedule below:

Speaker Kiri Miyazaki (Indigo Miyazaki Company): The extraction of blue from the Japanese indigo is a long process. From germination to extraction of the blue pigment, 365 days are required. First, the seeds are sown and placed in a greenhouse for 30 days. They are transplanted to the soil and stay there for another four months. They are harvested dry and enter a fermentation process for another 120 days. The preparation of the dyeing bowl may take another 30 days. It is only after this long process that blue arises.
