Inspiramais to celebrate 10 years with the theme of Synchrony on January 14 and 15, 2020

August 01 2019
Recognized by the market as the only exhibition that unifies different industries with language and method for the construction of Brazilian fashion, Inspiramais is celebrating 10 years and attracts the Latin American market.

The next Inspiramais has already been scheduled: January 14th and 15th, 2020. The only materials design and innovation exhibition in Latin America is about to celebrate its 20th edition, and is today considered the main event for design, technology and innovation in the entire Brazilian fashion chain. In other words, everything that will be produced by materials suppliers, based on references provided by the projects implemented within Inspiramais, will later be used in the development of products for final consumers in the footwear, clothing, costume jewelry, furniture, and accessories industries.

More than that, the Exhibition presents a methodology, a specific theme, a color palette, and unique materials that are absorbed by a large part of the Brazilian industry. This results in a chain of products that speak the same language of colors and concepts, thus increasing the visibility and sales of Brazilian fashion in a diverse range of countries around the world.

Inspiramais will take place at the Pro Magno Events Center in São Paulo. Admission is free for the sector’s professionals. Further information is already available at www.inspiramais.com.br.

SYNCHRONY as the theme for the whole industry
For this Inspiramais, the theme that will be used by the whole industry is Synchrony: the synchrony that brings about the interpretation and reinterpretation of concepts and contains the old and the new, which are mixed together. A reflection on who we are ourselves and the layers that build us.

References used:

Renaissance – 14th to 16th centuries – as a line of thought.
In the Renaissance, the ‘humanists’ emerged, who were intellectuals concerned with humans from various points of view. Everything that affects the human being - such as morality, society, urbanism, arts, medicine, engineering, and science – becomes an object of interest, study and works. To be considered is also the precious stance on the ideals of the classical Greco-Roman antiquity.

Reason, according to Renaissance thinking, was a manifestation of the human spirit that brought the individual closer to God. In exercising their ability to question the world, humans simply gave vent to a God-given gift (Neoplatonism).

Today: Artificial intelligence, connectivity, networks, the future is now, scientific developments - such as in Medicine and in Computer Science - and the relentless search for answers have transformed today's people into unfettered questioners.

Never in history has it been possible to have so many references available, allowing us to combine past and present in a significant renewal of artistic, social and scientific repertoires. The appreciation of the tastes of consumers, who no longer need to adapt to a standard, lead the fashion industry to non-judgmentally focus their attention on them, flirting with concepts of exaggeration and opulence.

“The speed of information and its decentralization, as well as scientific and technological developments, produce various viewpoints that get connected in an extremely sensitive world, where truths, lies, what is beautiful, and what we want to hide  get connected and surface.  We’ve never seen so many references available to people, and we’re in the middle of a process of effervescence, constantly reviewing concepts about the notion of humanity. It’s a creative effervescence”, said designer and researcher Walter Rodrigues, coordinator of Inspiramais’ Design Center.

In this movement, we will have a fashion where there is an encounter  between old and new references, and Synchrony comes in as an impact point, where differences meet to fertilize the new.

Research places Brazil in the worldwide consumer market

Inspiramais is the result of thorough research work developed over a six-month period. This work involves a team of consultants and designers, companies from every Brazilian state, cycles of talks in more than 20 industrial hubs, and international missions with buyers from Latin America, Europe and Asia. In addition, there are other innovative projects involving the entire industrial sector, which unifies its materials to use a single language in the manufacture of Brazilian products, thus achieving greater assertiveness in the marketplace.

“We talk to the industry, which is responsible for producing a wide variety of products in the areas of furniture, clothing, footwear costume jewelry, and accessories. They’re products that go straight to consumers. We’re establishing a standard of globally-consumed products, in line with international trends, and we’re also succeeding in promoting a genuinely ‘made in Brazil’ color palette, with references from our culture and regional elements. Everything has been done according to a concept of consumption that speaks to the world. Brazil didn’t imagine to reach this level, but through Inspiramais we’re getting there”, said Ilse Guimarães, superintendent of Assintecal – Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods -, one of the bodies responsible for organizing Inspiramais.

In addition to Assintecal, Inspiramais is promoted by the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT), Center for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), and Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). It has the support of  some of the major Brazilian sectoral bodies, such as the Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers (ABEST), Brazilian Association of Leather Goods and Travelware (ABICAV), Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados), Brazilian Fashion and Design Institute (In-Mod), Brazilian Institute of Gems and Precious Metals (IBGM), By Brasil Institute (IBB), Brazilian Association of Textile Retail (ABVTEX),  Francal, Association for Sporting Goods Industry and Commerce (Ápice), Brazilian Furniture Industry Association (Abimóvel), and Guia Jeans Wear.
The Exhibition is sponsored by: Cipatex, Altero, Bertex, York, Sprint Têxtil, Sappi Dinaco, Wolfstore, Caimi & Liaison, Brisa/ Intexco, Aunde Brasil, Advance Têxtil, Cofrag, Endutex, Colorgraf, Componarte, Branyl, Suntex, Sultextil, and Camaleoa.
